Sometimes you know that something in your life needs to change, but figuring out where to start can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, struggling to manage difficult emotions, or turning to behaviours that provide relief in the moment but create problems in the long run.

Sara offers a warm, practical, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and work toward changes that feel realistic and meaningful. With more than 15 years of experience supporting individuals with substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, emotional difficulties, and challenging behavioural patterns, Sara brings considerable real-world experience to her work with clients. Her style is approachable, collaborative, and down-to-earth. She believes that feeling comfortable with the person you are talking to matters, and she is known for incorporating warmth and humour into her work when appropriate.

Sara can help you better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions, coping with stressful situations, communicating more effectively, setting healthier boundaries, and making choices that better reflect the life you want to build. Her approach is integrative and draws from evidence-based strategies, including cognitive and behavioural techniques. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Sara works collaboratively with each person to identify what is getting in the way and find strategies that fit their individual needs, strengths, and goals.

Building on her extensive experience in the mental health and addiction field, Sara is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, further expanding her clinical knowledge and training.

Whether you are struggling with addiction or compulsive behaviours, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, experiencing low mood or anxiety, or simply recognizing that some of your usual ways of coping are no longer working for you, Sara can help you understand what is happening and begin finding a different way forward.

Sara works with teens and adults and offers consultations in English.
