Sara is a special educator wanting to help you learn effective coping skills so you can reduce self-defeating behaviours. She has extensive experience helping people who struggle with substance abuse disorders, depression, anxiety among other difficulties. With empathy and respect, she quickly connects by creating an open, non-judgemental, and collaborative relationship. Using an integrative approach, she is able to incorporate humour when appropriate to assist in identifying maladaptive patterns, gaining personal acceptance and moving towards change.

Sara utilizes evidence-based techniques including strategies aimed at changing the way you interpret events and targeting the behaviours that no longer work for you. She will help you develop adaptive coping skills such as strategies to manage your feelings, increase your ability to tolerate difficult situations and emotions, learn to be an effective communicator and develop the ability to observe yourself and others without judgement. When implemented these strategies can greatly improve your quality of life. She offers consultations in both English and French.
